Driving instructions to Pounamu Lodge

• Proceed straight through the Fenton Street intersection continuing to the first roundabout at Tarawera Road
• Turn right at the roundabout
• Pounamu Lodge is 15km from the roundabout
• Drive past The Blue Lake, The Green Lake and The Buried Village (11kms from the roundabout)
• One km further on drive straight ahead onto Spencer Road 51 Spencer Road is better accessed coming from Boatshed Bay at Kariri Point.
• So continue your drive down the hill until you come to Boatshed Bay
• Turn around and come back up the hill until you get to 51 Spencer Road. Pounamu Lodge, 51 Spencer Road is clearly marked on the signage.

If you are travelling from Taupo:

• At first Roundabout - turn right into Sala Street
• At first set of light - turn right into Te Ngae Road continue until you come to the first roundabout Tarawera Road
• Turn right at the roundabout
• Pounamu Lodge is 15km from the roundabout
• Drive past The Blue Lake, The Green Lake and The Buried Village (11kms from the roundabout)
• One km further on drive straight ahead onto Spencer Road 51 Spencer Road is better accessed coming from Boatshed Bay at Kariri Point.
• So continue your drive down the hill until you come to Boatshed Bay
• Turn around and come back up the hill until you get to 51 Spencer Road.
